The Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary is located in a remote forest area in northern Ghana. The monkeys, Mona and Colobus species, are viewed as sacred and are well fed and cared for. They have their own graveyard (their spirits are believed to return if they are buried nearby) and their own priest (next post).
