Roatan Island, Honduras - People

From Puerto Limon the Silver Moon proceeded north to Roatan Island, one of the Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras. Here are some of the people we encountered as we were guided around the island.

Puerto Limon Tortuguero Canal Exploration

Having passed through the Panama Canal into the Atlantic, we continued to our berth in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. One of the offered tours from the ship was a naturalist-guided boat ride in the Tortuguero Canal, and having enjoyed such a ride many years ago, we were anxious for a repeat. It did not disappoint.

Beginning the Transit of the Panama Canal

Early in the morning of December 30, we sailed from Panama City to the western (Pacific) entrance to the Panama Canal. There's a constant traffic of ships (and the bigger cargo ships are in a separate, wider canal) so our entry was carefully scheduled. Here are some scenes as we waited.

Leaving Guayaquil, Ecuador, we had a day at sea before reaching Panama City and the Panama Canal. Here are a couple of pictures of details of our ship, the Silver Moon.
