Chile and the South Pacific: Off to Santiago

I'm back after a long hiatus, occasioned by a trip about as long as a circumnavigation of the Earth, but following a more circuitous route: flying to Chile, boarding a ship that first explored the Chilean fjords, then set off across the South Pacific to Easter Island, Pitcairn Islands, and Tahiti (to name just the most famous locations), then flying via Aukland, NZ to Japan, and finally back to Portland. From March 1 to April 24. A great trip, but it's taken a few days to get adjusted and begin work on several thousand photos.

I'll begin with pictures from an early morning waiting in an airport lounge for our flight, and our arrival in Santiago, Chile.
