Belgrade Market

From September 12 to December 4 - 83 days, or just a week short of three months - we were in Europe and the Middle East. Over that time I took about 6500 photos, but posted only two per day on this blog, to avoid spending all my time selecting and editing photos. Now we're back home in Portland, and I want to catch up with the best of the backlog over the next several months.

The first city on our itinerary was Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and the beginning of our Balkans tour with Mir Travel. Belgrade is a big, sophisticated city, but it has a number of relatively small green markets (pijace) Here are some scenes as our group wandered through one of the markets.
