January 26, 2017: After three fascinating days in and around Varanasi, we drove via comfortable bus to Bodhgaya, where the Buddha attained enlightenment after long meditation under the Bodhi Tree. Here are roadside scenes along the way. (Note the dusty tree in photo #5; dust tended to cover everything, including vegetation, that wasn't frequently cleaned.)
