January 27, 2017: We left Bodhgaya in the morning to drive to Patna, the capital of the state of Bihar on the Ganges River, and board our ship. It turned out that the planned route was impossible for our bus, so we had to meet the ship some distance upstream. Even that route required some heroics from our driver, and a lead from a local on a motorcycle. In any event, it was a scenic drive.

Pontoon bridge over the Ganges, will be removed during the high-water monsoon season.
