We left the Mount Hagen Cultural Show before the competition began, and flew to Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. We checked into the Airways Hotel, conveniently right next to the airport, and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, dinner, and evening. The next morning we spent a couple of hours at the Nature Park, viewing some of the flora and fauna unique to this remarkable country.
