Crossing the Zambezi River

July 22, 2018. In the morning we drove to the Zambezi River and ferried across from Botswana to Zambia. The ride across is only about five minutes, but waiting in line for a vacant ferry, and then waiting in line again to clear Zambian customs, is a considerably longer story.

A ferry-barge comes in, one truck at a time ...

... and another leaves, one truck at a time.

Meanwhile, micro-trade goes on at the shore.

In the distance, a small portion of the bridge that's being built...slowly... to cross the river.
