July 18, 2018: We left Johannesburg and drove by bus to the De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre, "which has gained international recognition for bringing the cheetah back from the brink of extinction through its captive breeding programs." We also saw many other species, including meerkats, wild dogs, Cape vultures, serval, caracal, kudu, and kingfisher. A fine introduction to the animals that we had come to Africa to see.
