The Alfama and Castelo Sao Jorge

We hired a tuk-tuk to take us up the steep hilly streets to the Alfama District of Lisbon, crowned by Castelo Sao Jorge. Here are photos of scenes outside the castle walls, of Lisbon seen looking over the walls, and of King Dom Manuel I.





Note the bridge across the Tagus in the background. 
It looks like the Golden Gate Bridge, and was designed by the same architect.
