Nowadays, Obidos is mainly an attractive tourist destination for a day trip out of Lisbon. Some of the attractions:
Ginja, a cherry liquor, is a favorite.
Free samples served in chocolate cups are offered to tourists.
Even the tagging is restrained.
Colorful porcelains, particularly of roosters (the base of a legendary miracle) are on sale everywhere.
Side streets look like Richard Diebenkorn paintings.
