Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge

Not far from the towns of Sequim and Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, where we were spending a few days, is the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. It is mostly notable for the Dungeness Spit, the longest natural sand spit in the United States. One walks from the parking lot to the beginning of the spit by either the Main Path or the Primitive Path. We chose the Main Path going out and the Primitive Path coming back, with interesting trees and bushes lining the paths both ways. Here are some scenes along the Main Path.
