Dungeness Driftwood (1)

Once out on Dungeness Spit, the most obvious thing to notice is the quantity and size of the driftwood. Impressively large logs, in some cases almost whole trees, have been washed up on the beach. Occasionally they're embellished by rock Towers of Hanoi. For someone like myself, a fan of 20th C abstract art, they call to mind sculptures by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, and David Smith. Over the next few days I'll be posting several groups of images of sculpturesque driftwood.
