Wadi Ghul, the Grand Canyon of Oman, is a spectacular sight and one of Oman's top tourist attractions. Here are a couple of photos, emphasizing the deep and rugged canyon (it's about a kilometer deep, only a fraction of which is seen here) and the thorn trees that line its rim.
