Flaming Orange

One of Jay Maisel's maxims, in his fine book "It's Not About the F-Stop", is "Shoot It Now". If you wait, the opportunity may be gone. This was certainly the case a couple of days ago, as I was heading in Portland to my daily routine of black and white photography in Slabtown. This woman crossed the street just ahead of me. She was walking fast, and I had to scramble to keep up while switching the Photo Style in my GX85 digital camera from LMono to Vivid. I was able to take just one photo before she turned onto a shady street and then into an office building. The auto focus was a bit off, but I think the image has the impact I intended.
