Ancient Grounds in Dublin

Directly across the street from our hotel in Dublin is a large, handsome park, originally the grounds of the Royal Hospital from the 1700s.

Richmond Tower, entrance to the grounds

Bully's Acre, a burial grounds for some of the poor people of Dublin many centuries ago.
The tall memorial stone on the right dates from the 900s.

A grove in Bully's Acre, with an 1800s monument dedicated to Queen Victoria.

A corner of the grounds, with spring daffolis.
