Having walked from one end to the other of the Ecological Reserve, I returned by the paved promenade along the Costanera Sur (South Bank of the River) and encountered a lineup of impressive life-sized sculpture by Mario Benavidez of some of Argentina's greatest sports heroes. This Paseo de la Gloria has ten sculpures, of which I've chosen five: Guillermo Vilas (tennis), Mario Ginobili (basketball), Gabriela Sabatini (tennis), Juan Manuel Fangio (auto racing), and Lionel Messi (soccer). Very nicely done.
