Mendoza Wineries

On our second day's tour of Mendoza district wineries, we visited three in Luján de Cuyo, a small town on the outskirts of the city of Mendoza, the capital of the province of Mendoza. (Confused yet?)

Achaval-Ferrer, with a great view of the Andes:

Bodegas y Cavas Weinert, going old rather than hypermodern. It features some elaborate old European oak casks, with methods and storage cellars to match. Our guide Juan Cruz is posing with the barrels against the painted wall.

Bodega Lagarde, where we had lunch. Olive trees grow among the grape vines. The last photo is of the ovens and barbecue.
