We ended our Japan trip in Tokyo. We've been there several times before over the years, but I don't remember being so impressed with the downtown architecture on our previous visits. My main impression was of the steely coldness of the structures and the environment. But I lead this post with a photo of the ancient-seeming Central Railway Station, between the hypermodern buildings behind and the evergreens in front.
