Our first island stop after leaving London and the Thames was St. Peter Port on the isle of Guernsey. After ascending the banks (not the steep and uncivilized ones in the picture below) from ship to land, we began in the countryside with an elaborately and cheerfully decorated underground Little Chapel church and grounds.
