We left our cruise in Tahiti, flew to Aukland, New Zealand and then immediately to Narita Airport in Japan near Tokyo. After an overnight stay at a hotel, we took the Shinkansen fast train to Nagano, in time for the end of the cherry blossom season. There were just a few trees still in blossom, but they were still spectacular.
