We flew back to Tashkent from Nukus a day early, on September 16, to allow time for a covid test before flying to Istanbul. The two pictures below were taken that day back at our hotel. The ewers and melons remind us of the ancient civilization we are leaving. The Silk Road Rally cars remind us of the very different civilization to which we are returning.
