Contemporary Painting

The owner of the building at the corner of 4th and Alder in downtown Portland supposedly arranged to cover the building with good mural painting, probably to protect it from more haphazard protest painting. I went downtown to take a look, and below are some of the sections that caught my eye. They remind me somewhat of the work of the early 20th C French painter Robert Delaunay and his wife Sonia, who combined Cubism with strong colors in a style they called Orphism.
