A Mural-Covered Building in Portland

Just a few minutes walk from where I live in the Pearl District in NW Portland, Oregon, is a building on the block between 10th and 11th Streets, and Hoyt and Glisan Avenues. Its owner must love murals, since it is covered with good ones, in a variety of styles. The first one, in the process of being painted (using spray paint) dates from 2014, not long after I moved to town. The others, including those which I'll be posting for the next several days, have appeared during the months of coronavirus. It's a welcome outdoor museum of popular art.

This is a detail of the full piece, which I'll show tomorrow, emphasizing its striking 3-dimensionality.
