Polar Bear and Reindeer on Lower Savage Island

We didn't see many of these "trophy animals" on this expedition, but even a few sightings were exciting. The male polar bear has a wound on his flank, probably from a fight with another bear.

This photo was taken at the extreme telephoto setting of my zoom lens, the zodiac was bobbing in the water, and the reindeer was running - all of which contributed to significant blurring. But it was the only sighting I got, and it shows the characteristic huge antlers - the largest in the deer kingdom.
