St. Patrick's Catholic Church, in Slabtown, was founded in 1889, and has been a mainstay of the neighborhood ever since. The steep dome is striking, but I particularly like the last three images because their rugged, stony solemnity reminds me of the photographs in the Outer Hebrides by Paul Strand in his classic book "Tir A Mhurain".
