For the last couple of days I've been in Calverton MD, a suburban town near Silver Spring, while my wife is participating in an FDA conference. Yesterday I took a walk in the neighborhood of our hotel. It's mainly car dealership, fast food franchises, and business parks. There was little interesting color (except for some blooming magnolias) so I decided to photograph in black and white. The results seemed brooding and somewhat unwelcoming.
