Today we took a long walk to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, north of Hobart. It is celebrating its 200th birthday this year, having been founded in 1818. It's a very nice place: comfortable size, well maintained, interesting plants and special gardens, good restaurant.
The photos below make no attempt to be botanically systematic. They just depict some scenes that I found especially attractive. The first image is of two remarkable birds - Eastern Rosellas - seen in grassland just outside the Gardens.
