Leaving Cradle Mountain, we drove through some picturesque but formidably winding territory (fortunately on good, if narrow, roads). We took a brief turnout to Lake Cethana, which is edged by steep cliffs with strikingly dense eucalyptus forests. Then continued, through land that gradually leveled out into good farmland. We passed through the town of Railton, which bills itself the "Town of Topiary". An example is at the end of this post.
