Coventry Cathedral, which dated to the Middle Ages, was bombed and nearly completely demolished by the Germans early in WW2. The spire, the nave, and some fragments of the walls remain, and a wonderful new cathedral has been built adjacent. The old part is still used as a memorial. Here are a few photos of a reconciliation ceremony in the nave, and a couple of modern sculptures memorializing the building and its meaning.
