On December 24, the day before Christmas, the Silver Moon set sail up the coast of Peru to Salaverry. The plan was to visit the Chan Chan Ruins, "... all that's left of a mighty pre-Coluumbian city, moulded from sand and mud." Unfortunately, the Ruins were closed due to a shortage of staff on pre-Christmas Day. So we had to make do with a visit to the Temple of the Moon, which I'll be posting tomorrow. For today, here are photos of the beginning of the trip.
