Guayaquil, Ecuador

Guayaquil used to be known by tourists mainly as the jumping off place to fly to the Galapagos. But on our stop on the Silver Moon cruise, we learned that this gritty city had expanded, cleaned itself up, and become lively and attractive. We had two walking tours on successive days, through much of the same territory, but different enough to be interesting. Here's some of Day 1.
