From Serbia we went to Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is now a very attractive city, but it has a fraught history of being under siege by Serbia from 1992 to 1996 - the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare.
A positive residue from this desperate time - sort of making a silk purse from a sow's ear - is using bullets to make ballpoint pens and other decorative objects.
