The Belgrade Fortress is the city's most visited tourist attraction, so of course our tour went there first thing. The site dates to Roman times, was an important location for the development of the city from medieval times, and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.
The little tank in the foreground was used in WW1, and is the only remaining example of its kind.
This nude male sculpture was turned to face the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers, rather than the park, after prudish protests.
