We'd been informed by various postings on the Web that Iranian hotels were less than optimal. Our experience on the Mir tour "Ancient Persia - Modern Iran from Top to Bottom" was quite different. All were comfortable, clean, and friendly - and our first hotel, the Espinas Palace in Tehran, was first class and elegant. Located on a hill at the north of Tehran it has a dramatic view of the city, with an elegant interior to match.
