In October, my wife and I enjoyed MIR-organized trips to Iran and Qatar. We broke up the trip from Portland to Tehran by stopping for a couple of days in London, staying in the Sofitel Hotel at London Heathrow Airport. From Heathrow, we took the Piccadilly Express into central London to enjoy some of the art on display in that wonderful city. First, on October 1, we viewed the Lucien Freud and Winslow Homer retrospectives (a strange pairing) at the National Gallery.
