One of the great pleasures of New York City is just walking the streets and noting the colorful variety of scenes along the way. This was on our first full day, walking south from 41st to 34th, then west from Madison to 9th, then south along the High Line. The "8" in the first photo is a sculpture by Robert Indiana, in front of a hotel.
