We recently spent a week in New York City, visiting relatives and enjoying the city we haven't seen in a few years. My blog posts for the next week or so will be devoted to aspects of that visit. I'll begin with some photos from Bushwick, a neighborhood in Brooklyn which has become notable for its "aerosol paintings", a nice synonym for "grafitti" or "street art". Some blocks are almost completely covered, a cooperative arrangement between artists (often members of the "Bushwick Collective") and building owners.
