Orthodox monasteries are important stops on tours in Eastern Europe, because of their age, size, cultural importance, and beauty.We visited the Monastery of Saint John the Baptist in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Photos of the interior were forbidden, but there was plenty of interest on the outside.
