Harajuku is the district in Shibuya, Tokyo, just north of Meguro where our hotel was located. According to Wikipedia, it's "... known internationally as a center of Japanese youth culture and fashion." While my wife was lecturing, I hopped on the subway to do some street photography. The results will occupy this blog for the next few days.
The locus of youth activity in Harajuku is Takeshita Street, just out the front door of the subway station. The photos presented here give a feeling for the general atmosphere of the street.
