We had a free day to ourselves, since our orientation for the extension to Nagorno-Karabakh begins this evening. It was a sunny, comfortable day. We visited a carpet factory, ate lunch in a lovely outdoor garden, and wandered some of the streets of central Yerevan.

In the evening our N-K extension group went to dinner, where we were entertained by
a folk music group. The two tambour players in the center had really exceptional voices.
