Today we visited two of the chateaus for which the Loire Valley is famous. Built between 1518 and 1527, Azay-le-Rideau is considered one of the foremost examples of early French renaissance architecture.

The second chateau was Villandry, justly famed for its extensive formal gardens.
To top off a high-class day, a 1937 Bentley came into the courtyard of our B&B,
to be shown off tomorrow in a rally of classic cars.
