Porto Novo is located on San Antonio, the most northwesterly of the Cape Verde islands. Our ship docked in the harbor seen below, and we embarked on an about four hour bus ride around the top of the island. We stopped at scenic lookouts, occasionally down to farmland in the crater, but often to rugged scenes of prior volcanic activity.
