The next morning, we spent an hour at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, "a large and extensive collections-based educational and research institution" (Wikipedia) in San Marino, California, abutting Pasadena and Los Angeles. It would take days to even superficially explore all the facets of the Huntington, so we just devoted about an hour to a few of the gardens before setting out on our drive to Death Valley. The cacti were particularly photogenic.
