Slabtown is an unofficial district in Northwest Portland, Oregon, just west of the Pearl District in which I live. It's following in the footsteps of the Pearl in rapidly gentrifying, converting from an industrial base to stores, restaurants, and condominiums. But it still maintains some of the unruly, transitional character that makes it attractive for wandering-around photography. That's what I'll be posting for the next week or so.
