We were finally able to take a hike a couple of days ago in Portland's Forest Park, one of the country's largest urban forest reserves. I took this photo intending to emphasize the encroachment of invasive ivy, but when I looked at it on my computer screen I was most struck by the rich density of the forest. More photos of Forest Park will follow in the next few days, but I wanted to have this one stand on its own.
