December 28, 2015: We drove down to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater, which supposedly contains Africa's largest permanent population of wildlife. We certainly saw a lot, as the next few days of postings will confirm. Perhaps the most photogenic animals are the zebras, both for their vividly striped coats and for their tendency to associate in friendly small bunches.
Young foals have a brown color, and often rest like this, flat on the ground. Mother stands guard.
