After the Buraydah camel market we headed east to Fayd, a major archeological site about halfway between Baghdad and Mecca.

 Goats give the impression of being smarter than camels.

 Probably the largest on earth, and a lot of fun. There's also a goat market, which I'll post tomorrow. 

Market and Mosque in the Desert

We stopped at this small outdoor bazaar in Unayzah to see if there there might be some souvenirs to take home.  It was nearing evening, and as soon as the sun set the stalls closed and the proprietors went next door to the outdoor mosque for evening prayers, which lasted until dusk. Then the stalls reopened.

Historic Desert Village of Ushaiger

Ushaiger is a heritage village, one of the oldest in the desert, notable for its achitecture which provides livability in the hot, dry climate.
