For an largely industrial district, Slabtown has a fair bit of greenery.

Slabtown Signs

Some prominent photographers don't like signs in photos, while others (Walker Evans, for one) made good use of them as graphic elements. I side with Evans, and will be presenting signs from Slabtown intermittently over the course of this blog. I think they help to capture the character of the neighborhood.

Dress Shop Displays

Reflections
