Slabtown has a tongue-in-cheek chamber of horrors called the Peculiarium. I haven't paid admission to go inside, but here are some views from the sidewalk.
Wandering around Slabtown in Portland, I'm usually focusing on what's around me or under my feet. But sometimes I look up, and encounter a scene with austere but vigorous geometries or signage. Over the next few days I'll be posting some examples.
After all the harsh postings recently, I thought it would be nice to post some softer images of plants and mushrooms, seen growing along walls and sidewalks in Slabtown. I like the soft gradations in tone of black and white photos.
